Equipped for purpose


         

                                                              



What is Purpose

                  Purpose is the reason for creation. It is the reason why something or someone is created. As humans we all have a purpose or assignment that has been given to us, one of the importance of salvation is that it not only created a relationship between a man and God who is the creator of every one of us, it also helps us to know that there is more to life in Christ.

In the previous post, I talked about renewing our minds because it is the first step to building and living the type and quality of live God intended for us from the very beginning. In today's post, we would be discussing purpose.

 Firstly

Everyone one of us has a purpose, we are all the answer to a prayer point or a problem and it is not dependent on our physical surroundings or our opinions just like Gideon in the book of judges , in the sixth chapter , it was during a time the Israelites was under sever oppression by the Midianites, they cried out to God and it was recorded in the 11th verse, that the angel of God went to the house of Gideon, beforehand Gideon was known as a fearful man from the weakest clan in the tribe, but the angel of God addressed him as a mighty hero and he told him to go and fight with the strength that he has. Now, this was a man that was known for being fearful and was from the weakest and almost insignificant clan from his tribe and was the least in his family, this goes to tell us that our flaws or weaknesses, environment, peoples’ opinions and even our opinions does not alter or affect the assignment that was handed over to us during creation. Just in case u want to research more on biblical examples we have Moses, joseph, Paul, David etc.

We were all equipped to solve a problem here on earth, contrary to popular believe, your job or occupation is not your purpose but it can be an avenue to carry out your purpose like in the case of Joseph, he was a prime minster in the land of Egypt, his assignment was to deliver the children of Israel during the time of famine that was yet to occur.

KEY NOTES CONCERING PURPOSE

GOD SHOULD BE THE CENTER OF UR LIFE AS A BELIEVER

As believers, God must be at the center of our lives meaning every and anything we do, must be able to bring glory to God and expand this kingdom, hence even our assignment should bring glory to God.

YOUR PAST OR MISTAKES DOESN’T AFFECT YOUR PURPOSE

   Many believers sometimes may think that their past life or mistakes is enough to stop their God given purpose, but that is not how our God operates, assuming the apostle Paul never came out of the guilt of his past life where he killed many Christians, then we wouldn’t have the epistles written and he wouldn’t have been able to do all the wonderful thing that he accomplished in the bible  or if apostle Peter never came out of the guilt of denying Jesus .

YOUR PURPOSE IS NOT MEANT TO BE SMALL

     God is not an average god, so his thoughts towards u is not small or average, the bible tells us that,

 ‘NO EYES HAVE SEEN, NOR EARS HAS HEARD AND NO MIND HAS IMAGINED WHAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE THAT LOVE HIM”,

 absolutely nothing about this statement tells me that God want me to be a local champion, or he doesn’t want the whole world to see my life and marvel at what he is making out of it.

YOUR PURPOSE TRIVES IN EVERY CONDITION

  Your purpose has the ability to thrive in any circumstances, be it good, bad and unfavorable. Just like in the case of joseph, he was sold, imprisoned, forgotten yet he still came to a place of purpose. Once you have God in your life and he is an active part of your walk in life, no circumstances is big enough to hold you back, because the bible says in Isaiah 51 vs 3 “ HER DESERT WILL BLOOM LIKE EDEN” ,  we all know that a desert is one of the harshest conditions for life to exist in ,yet Israel would still bloom even though it has been likened to a desert ,this shows that as long as you have the blessings of God with you, a bad academic record, a poor financial background or even wasted years will turn out fine all to the glory of God.

There is much to be said concerning purpose, it can never truly be exhausted, but due to the length of this write up, I would be continuing this topic in my next post.

Foxes in the vines

“CATCH ALL THE FOXES, THE LITTLE FOXES BEFORE THEY RUIN THE VINEYARD OF LOVE, FOR THE GRAPEVINES ARE BLOSSOMING” SONGS OF SONG 2 VS 15. When I first came across this verse, I went on research to find out how foxes can ruin a vineyard, and I found out that because of their small size, they can`t reach the fruit of the vines, so they chew at the base of the vine until it breaks, then they cart away with the fruits that drops along-side the broken-down vines. Most farmers consider them a threat because they not only steal the fruits, but they ruin the vine completely, thus ruin the entire effort of the season, so you see the need, why they should be caught.
